Graphic Designer’s Guide to Failture

Nathan Windom
Year: 2022

The manifesto, “A Graphic Designer’s Guide to Failure” was inspired by my own shortcomings as a designer. The reading of this manifesto comprised the first portion of my film. I took a more rigid approach to this section by sticking to a script. The second half was more improvisational and informal as I expanded on my personal experiences that lead to the creation of the original writing. A personal narrative comprised more than half my film, in which I lost a freelance job for someone with over 1 million Instagram followers.
